This training is suitable for:
Staff will explore what neurodiversity means and how different neurodivergent Profiles may show up in school.
This can include autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, developmental language differences, sensory processing differences and overlapping needs.
We help staff understand autistic communication, sensory processing, masking, anxiety, transitions, social demands, routines, shutdowns, meltdowns and the importance of predictability.
We explore attention, impulsivity, emotional regulation, executive functioning, task initiation, working memory, movement needs and how ADHD may look different from one pupil to another.
We support staff to understand dyslexia beyond spelling and reading. Training can include processing speed, working memory, confidence, written output, assistive technology and dyslexia-friendly classroom practice.
We help staff look beyond behaviour and consider what a child may be communicating through distress, avoidance, anger, withdrawal or overwhelm.
This includes practical tools for co-regulation, de-escalation, emotional literacy and supporting pupils before they reach crisis point.
We explore the skills pupils need to plan, organise, start tasks, remember instructions, manage time, prioritise and complete work.
Staff will learn simple classroom strategies to reduce cognitive overload and make learning more accessible.
